ABSENTEE VOTING

Please Vote! I voted at the Brunswick Town office. Very easy process. I waited in line for maybe 5-10 minutes. Had my name checked off the Brunswick voter registration list. Then received my absentee ballot (actually 3 ballots) filled them out in a voting booth look alike, put the ballots in my envelope, sealed it, signed the back and placed it in a collection bin. All of the absentee ballot envelopes will be locked up until Wednesday before election day (10/27) when the Town Clerk will start running them through the voting machine. Then as soon as possible after the polls close on Nov 3rd at 8 pm the tabulation button will be pushed and we will find out who has won the State elections. If there are no ranked choice run offs, then the Federal races as well. Very exciting!!!

Just follow the steps listed below to vote with an absentee ballot:

  1. Register to vote. You must register to vote before casting your ballot. You may register to vote at the Town office and on election day at the polls.  For information on voter registration click on https://www.brunswickme.org/301/Voter-Registration
  2. Request an absentee ballot. Brunswick residents may call to request a ballot (207) 725-6658 from the Town Clerk. An absentee ballot may also be requested, in person, at the Town Office thru November 3rd.
  3. Obtain your absentee ballot. The Brunswick Town Clerk is mailing absentee ballots to those who request them thru Thursday October 29th.  Ballots may be picked up at the Town Office thru October 30th.
  4. Vote with and return your absentee ballot. You may return your ballot by mail, drop off in the secure ballot dropbox, or return in person at the Town Office. Please remember to sign the back of the envelope. The ballot must be received  by 8 pm on Election Day.  Brunswick is providing return postage for mailing and will be set up for absentee ballot voting and return Oct 5th thru the 30th (note: voters may return an absentee ballot to the Town Clerks office thru 8 pm on Nov 3rd) Click on "Town Office Hours"  below for absentee ballot pick up and return times.

Maine Sec of State is offering this niffy link to track your absentee ballot once you have requested it. https://apps.web.maine.gov/…/AbsenteeBall…/ballot_status.pl…
